Now that we're living up in Putnam Valley, we found that we don't eat out much. I was really craving pizza tonight but most of the recipes for pizza dough require it to sit overnight. I found a recipe on epicurious.com that only requires an hour to sit before baking.
I used some leftover chicken & apple sausage and mushrooms for the topping. For the sauce, I used a 28oz can of whole plum tomatoes and I winged it with the ingredients...we had some fresh basil from our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) and it smelled so incredibly good.
We still have a ton of basil so we may have to make some pesto soon.

Grandpa's Pizza (March 4, 2010)

Ethan was working late tonight so I did my role in preparing dinner. I ordered pizza from our local pizza joint called Grandpa's Brick Oven Pizza. It's no Grimaldi's, but it definitely satisfies the pizza craving.

Pizza (Feb 7, 2010)

We went to J&N's house for dinner on Saturday. J made delicious handmade pizza...
And I mean handmade!
Did I say pizza? I mean pizzas! (Pizze for any Italian speakers reading this).
I made a salad.
And for dessert there was apple tart with vanilla ice cream AND fresh whipped cream AND chocolate shavings.

Pizza leftovers (Feb 4, 2010)

We ate pizza that was leftover from an event I hosted at school earlier in the evening.
Regarding the "labels"--does Papa John's pizza count as "Italian"?
